Conservation Burn Training/Biochar Workshop Postponed to Feb 24th

Due to the amazing series of wet storms we have been experiencing we are postponing the upcoming Conservation Burn workshop scheduled for this Friday, January 13th to Friday February 24th, same time and place. Please mark it in your calendar.

For a successful Conservation Burn we need the feedstock moisture content to be at or below 20%, and even though it is expected to be sunny on Thursday and Friday we will need several weeks of dry weather for optimal field burning conditions. We are hoping that February will give us dryer conditions, at least from the 10th on!

Since burn season doesn’t end until May 1 you will still have plenty of time to burn your own piles after the workshop.
